Willamette River at dawn. Nikon N65 trial roll.

I recently acquired this new (to me) Nikon N65, I got a hell of a deal on it and so far I love it. It's got a 28-80  lens on it which I have been copiously exploiting as well as being super lightweight.

Oregon Coast and the beach at Manzanita south.

I have been working mostly in black and white to get my eye for photo composition back on, from these frames, I think I have achieved that goal. Theses were taken on a journey to a beachhouse in Manzanita that belongs to a friend of the family. On the way, at lunch, and on the way home I took some time to bust out the Nikon.

Riverology: September 2011

An extremely low tide combined with already low water levels. Ouch, my boat!

Old dock wood and old rope.

Ahh, you know what this is.

Cepheus on the hunt!

Misty moisty.

Old Stone House, Forest Park, NW Portland.

Some strange Ohioan settler decided to move his family into this foggy bottom creek bed and build a foundation that has lasted 150 years and will probably last 150 more, sadly, he murdered his stepson and was the first person to legally die by hanging in Portland.

Very elaborate stairs for such a small structure.
