Take I 84 east from Portland to the exit for Lewis and Clark State Park, park in the parking lot of the park, on the north side, a gravel path goes through the pet exercise area and then parallels the train tracks east bound into the woods. After a rolling 20 minute hike you will come to the first outlying boulders, the Wombat Zone is about a 45 minute hike in.
Well, the unveiling is almost here folks. This awesome local bouldering area was discovered somewhat by accident. In 2021, there was a landslide on I 84 that closed the freeway into the Gorge for a few days. That first day, I had the day off and was planning on going to Cascade Locks to boulder, when I saw that the road was closed, I remembered a conversation that Tymun and I had about his Dad seeing "huge" boulders alongside this one trail in Troutdale, that exit was accessible, so I took a hike. The idea of this place exploded the same day. We have brought several other climber/ developers in to here in the past year, it would be way to big a task for two climbers to tackle, a solid 8 person crew is basically where we ended up, and I'm sure some stronger climbers will find harder things to send out here. I'm counting 90 plus actual boulders cleaned and developed, more in the bush for sure. On April 29th, the actual location and maps will be released, so stay tuned!
Los Polbitos on The Manitou Boulder 
The season is running out for this area of bouldering in Skamania County, Washington. At around 2800 feet of elevation, once the snow flies, the only way to get there would be by snowmobile. There are also two other developed areas, Three Ravens Boulders and Sasquatch Hideaway, all within a few minute drive from each other. Multiple free campsites are available, Bigfoot is nestled in the woods, Three Ravens boasts a view of Mount Hood and has more of a wind factor.
Some pretty cool new routes have gone up above the Spring Cluster, easier to go up the road and cut across the talus to access these. This one just got finished a few days ago, there are a few more possibilities up here as well.
